Nancy J. Foster, 66, of Carlisle, passed away with loving family by her side on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on Sunday, December 8, 1946, in Huntingdon, a daughter of Evelyn J. (Pannebaker) Park of Mapleton Depot and the late Kenneth L. Park. Nancy was the widow of William P. "Jim" Foster, who died Feb. 6, 2005.

Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She was a member of Plainfield First Church of God.

Nancy was the beloved mother of three daughters; Joanne R. Foster (and her fiancé, Bill Ebright) of Newville, Alicia A. (and her husband, Francis) Johns of Carlisle and Sherri L. Foster of Florence, KY, one son, William P. Foster, Jr. of Columbus, OH, two brothers; Tom Park of Tyrone and Gene Park of Mapleton Depot, one sister, Mona Brentzel of St. Louis, MO, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by one grandson, Trevor Shafer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Tim Wheeler officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the Roaring Run Cemetery, Well Tannery, with Pastor Murray Stevens officiating.
