Nancy K. Coon, 77, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.  She was born on February 12, 1947, in Flint, MI and was the daughter of the late Paul and Luella (Gildner) Krutka.

Nancy graduated in 1965 from Grand Blanc High School in Michigan and then attended Michigan State University.  Nancy was a devoted homemaker and of the Catholic faith.  She was a member of the Officer's Wives Club and Marriage Encounter.  Nancy loved her family, grandchildren, ballroom dancing and vacationing.  She was the perfect Army wife, living in Italy, Germany and various stateside posts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Colonel (Ret) Robert C. Coon, US Army, three sons, Gregory (wife Sidney) Coon of Albuquerque, NM, Jeffrey (wife Laurie) Coon of Mount Wolf and Jason (wife Jill) Coon also of Mount Wolf, one sister Donna (husband Bill) deKay of Simsonville, SC, five grandchildren, Corbin, Cohen and Carson Coon all of Albuquerque, NM and Alexa and Aiden Coon, both of Mount Wolf and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother Larry Krutka.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Memorial Chapel at Carlisle Barracks at 1210 on February 10, 2025.  She will be buried next to her parents in Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan at a later date.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
