Muriel A. Brillhart Groff, 86, of Carlisle and formerly of York, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.  She was born on April 2, 1938, in York and was a daughter of the late Theodore McGlaughlin and Jeanette (Holtzinger) McGlaughlin.  She was the widow of Dale D. Brillhart, who died in 2005.

Muriel was a 1956 graduate of William Penn High School in York and attended York Art Academy.  She was a member of the York Alliance Church where she was a member of the choir and a former Sunday School teacher.  Muriel was an art teacher with the Christian School of York for many years and later taught art lessons at her home.  She was active for several years with Teen Encounter-York Ministry.

She is survived by one son Daniel (wife Konni) Brillhart of York, one daughter Dawn (husband Mark) Krist of Blaine, MN, two brothers, Gilbert and Dennis McGlaughlin, both of York, one sister Elaine Jacoby of Rockford, IL, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her husband James Dale Groff.  She was preceded in death by one brother Timothy McGlaughlin.
