Monica (Mihalik) Wheeler Fitzpatrick, 103, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.  She was born on August 2, 1919, in Mt. Carmel and was a daughter of the late Andrew B. Mihalik and Emma (Elko) Mihalik.  Monica was the widow of Richard A. Wheeler and Richard E. Fitzpatrick.

Monica graduated from Shamokin Area Joint High School in 1937.  She worked as a private interior decorator for many families in the Shamokin area and later worked for J. C. Penney Co. in Shamokin for 15 years.  She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.  Monica served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Shamokin Elks Club and was a member and officer of the Shamokin Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Richard "Andy" (wife Helen) Wheeler of Mechanicsburg, James D. (wife Janice) Wheeler of Mechanicsburg and Michael J. (wife Tracey C. Jones) Wheeler of Enola, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son William T. Wheeler, two brothers, Leo and Eugene Mihalik and three sisters, Emma Baney, Cyrilla Reister and Alma Fitzpatrick.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 410 E. Simpson St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Rev. Kenneth C. Roth as the Celebrant.  A visitation will be in the church Narthex from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg.  Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph School, 420 E.
