Miriam L. "Mimi" (Miller) Kutz, 103, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Shippensburg Health Center.  She was born on June 12, 1916 in Carlisle and was the widow of George Kutz who was the co-owner of the former Earley's Furniture Store in Carlisle.  Also preceding Mimi in death were her son, George "Ash" Kutz and her two daughters; Sandra Staniar and Jan Melisauskas.

Mimi graduated from Carlisle High School.  She and her friend Mybrit Houston owned and operated an upscale dress and gift shop on Pomfret Street in Carlisle called La Boutique.

She is survived by three grandchildren; Todd Melisauskas, Tiffany Melisauskas, Christopher Staniar and her daughter-in-law, Peggy Kutz.

A graveside service will be privately held in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.  www.Since1853.com.
