Miley H. "Jake" Jumper Jr., 74, of Carlisle, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at UPMC West Shore, Mechanicsburg.  He was born on December 30, 1949, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Miley H. Jumper, Sr. and Ruth V. (Hock) Jumper.

Jake attended Boiling Springs High School.  He worked for McKee Construction, Wilmot Jumper Milk Hauling, Baker Transport and retired from Carlisle Carrier where he was a big-rig truck driver for many years.  Jake enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions, car shows, Williams Grove Speedway and watching old Westerns.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Kathie L. (Showers) Jumper, one son Sam Jumper of Carlisle, two grandchildren, Dylan and Noah Jumper of Shippensburg, one daughter-in-law Eloise Jumper of Shippensburg, two sisters, Bonnie McKee of Newville and Twila Stacher of California and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one son Jason Jumper,  six brothers, Wilmot Jumper Sr., Duane Jumper, Galen Lee Jumper, Luther Dean Jumper, Gary Jumper and Conrad "Barry" Jumper and two sisters, Charlotte Killinger and Debra Jumper.

A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with a graveside service to follow in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.  Pastor Richard Reese will officiate the service.
