MSgt. (Ret) Michael D. Noble, US Army, age 53, devoted father and soldier, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at his home in Carlisle. He was born on Friday, June 29, 1956, in Macon, GA, and was a son of the late Velma L. (Wilks) Noble.

Master Sergeant Noble served his country honorably and loved the United States Army with all his heart and soul. Michael entered the service in 1974 and retired in 1998. He served as a Military Policeman and was awarded many honors and medals during his service. After retirement, Michael worked part-time with the Naval Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Susan Ann Noble of Jackson, Miss. and one brother, James F. Noble of Florida.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
