Michael L. Newcomer, 67, of Newville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home.  He was born on March 27, 1952 in Carlisle and was a son of the late John William "Bill" Newcomer and Violet "Vi" (Goodhart) Newcomer.

Mike was an electrician and recently retired from E & G Electrical Services and was a former employee of C. H. Masland & Sons, both of Carlisle.  Mike enjoyed music and was an accomplished Cigar Box Guitar maker and player.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Linda J. (Nicolarakis) Newcomer, one son William Michael and wife, Jessica Newcomer of Lebanon, one daughter Erin Elizabeth Newcomer of Carlisle, one stepdaughter Phedra I. Hodges of White Marsh, MD, one brother John S. and wife Bette Newcomer of Mt. Holly Springs, one sister Tabatha McGrath of Clarkston, GA, two granddaughters, Courtney and Callie Newcomer and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 followed by a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Chaplain Ed Rabenstein officiating.  Burial will be private.  www.Since1853.com.
