Melvin Joel Weibley, 91, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at UPMC Carlisle.  He was born on May 19, 1933, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Chester and Florence (Peterman) Weibley.

Melvin graduated from Carlisle High School.  He was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War.  Melvin worked as a window clerk for more than 30 years at the Carlisle Post Office.  He was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, Carlisle and the Carlisle Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years Elizabeth Ann (Bailes) Weibley, two daughters, Lori L. (Jeff) Jackson of Gray Court, SC and Linda M. (Todd) Brian of Mill Hall, PA, one son Robert (Amy) Keene of Maiden, NC, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and two nieces.  He was preceded in death by one son William Keene, one brother Robert Weibley and one sister Marie Black.

A private graveside service with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be held at LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle.  Pastor William Pipp will officiate the service.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
