May attended Carlisle High School and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed playing cards with her family, bowling, crossword puzzles and music. She was preceded in death by one son, Curtis A. Jumper, who died Sept. 22, 2010, two brothers; Walter and Harvey Keck and four sisters; Ethel Quickel, Mary Zinn, Catherine Martin and Grace Killinger.

She is survived by two daughters; Karen L. (and her husband, Thomas) Gruver and Betsy (and her husband, Ron) Diehl, both of Carlisle, two daughters-in-law; Denise Evans and Kendra Hatch, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Rev. Bruce Fensterbush will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
