Maryann O. Myers, 83, of Carlisle, passed away with her daughters by her side on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was born on Sunday, March 6, 1927, in Hanover, and was a daughter of the late Lewis W. M. Richstein and Edna M. (Singley) Richstein.

Maryann retired from AMP, Inc., Carlisle after nearly 30 years of service. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by two daughters; Diane Ellis Connelly of Carlisle and Carol L. McLaughlin of Sinking Spring, two brothers; Dorman Richstine and Fred S. Richstien both of New Oxford, two sisters; Eloise M. Weir of New Castle and Virginia L. Phiel of York, three grandchildren; Zachary K. Ellis of Pittsburgh, Matthew E. Ellis of York and Dr. Emily C. McLaughlin of Germantown, NY, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Maryann was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Strausbaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Charles A. Brophy officiating. Viewing will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Private burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery.
