Mary Ann (Tolbert) Strickland, 90, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.  She was born on June 8, 1934, in Carlisle and was the daughter of the late Catherine E. (Tolbert) Birosik and John J. Birosik, Jr.  She was the widow of Morris G. Strickland who passed September 28, 2016.

Mary Ann was a 1952 graduate of Carlisle High School.  She was a long-time member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle, and the North Middleton Senior Citizens.  Mary Ann worked as a hostess and supervisor for ten years at Little John's Family Restaurant in Carlisle and as a hostess for Molly Pitcher. She enjoyed her family, music, bowling, playing Bingo and shopping.

She is survived by three sons, Michael J. (wife, Kimberly) Strickland, Matthew G. Strickland and M. Jeffrey (wife, Payton) Strickland, two daughters, Marcia "Sis" L. (husband, Carl) Bouder and Melanie A. Strickland, all of Carlisle, 10 grandchildren, Kevin, Kristopher, Justin, Jared, Drew, Jace, Audra and Keegan Strickland, Laura Anderson and Benjamin Bouder, 7 great-grandchildren, Zackary, Zoey, Ryker and Harlow Strickland, Derek and Brennen Bouder and Kelsey Sowers, two step-granddaughters, SaMya Rupp and Avery Shughart and one great-great-granddaughter Hadleigh Sowers.  Mary Ann was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Bear and one brother John "Bruz"  M. Birosik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle, with Rev. Father Chiedozie F. Ononuju officiating.  Burial will be private.  A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann's name to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E.
