Mary M. Strawn, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022, at her home.  She was born on September 21, 1933, in Carlisle, and was preceded in death by her parents, John Cuff and Louise Conn Cuff and siblings, Delores, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Milton, Theresa, Louise, John and Joe.  She was the widow of Vernel Strawn.

Mary graduated from Carlisle High School and the Ebony School of Beauty and Culture in Harrisburg.  She retired from the PA State Department of Welfare. Mary was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi in Harrisburg.  She was an avid bingo player and loved to attend Harrisburg High School sporting events.

She is survived by her siblings, Margaret and Barb, children, Vernel, Stephen, Thornell, David, Nancy and Eunice, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg, PA 17103 with Rev.
