Mary Louise Stephenson, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle. She was born on July 13, 1932 in Pittsburgh and was a daughter of the late Anthony Sbraccia and Mary (Cardone) Sbraccia. Mary Louise was married for 57 years to the late Donald G. Stephenson.
She graduated from Langley High School, Pittsburgh, and worked in clerical positions in Pittsburgh and Washington, DC, before moving to the Harrisburg area, where they lived for 20 years. She volunteered for many charities and scouting organizations. Mary Louise worked in HR at Bell Telephone/Bell Atlantic in Harrisburg and Arlington, VA until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Carlisle.
She is survived by her son, Brian Stephenson and daughter, Susan (Robert) Walden, one brother, Anthony Sbraccia, four grandchildren; Thomas and Michael Stephenson and Nicholas and Matthew Walden and many nieces and nephews. Mary Louise was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Walden and five brothers; Paul, Carl, Ernest, Elmer and Thomas and four sisters; Adeline, Vera, Theresa and Marjorie.
A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in Chapel Pointe, Carlisle with Rev. Steve Motter officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 2595 Interstate Dr., Ste. 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110, www.alz.org or to Chapel Pointe, 770 S.
