Mary Lee Rose, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at ManorCare Health Services in Carlisle.  She was born on October 27, 1938 in Weston, WV and was a daughter of the late Ancil A. and Zina V. (Burkhammer) Davis.

Mary graduated in 1957 from Weston High School.  She was a loving homemaker and had worked as a nurse's aide, store clerk and waitress.  Mary attended Great Hope Baptist Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Richard P. Rose, three sons; David Rose of Carlisle, Richard "Tom" (wife, Colleen) Rose of New Bloomfield and Donald E. (wife, Shari) Rose of Hamilton, OH, three brothers; Jennings, Ronald and Robert Davis, two sisters; Rita Turner and Martha Queen, eight  grandchildren including the oldest Brandon C. (wife, Felicia) Rose; seven  great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Mary was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey P. Rose, three brothers; Kenneth, Charles and Bernard Davis and two sisters; Charlotte Cool and Carolyn Marshall.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Great Hope Baptist Church, 110 Fern Ave., Carlisle with Rev. Dale Barrick officiating.  Burial will be in Mt.
