Memorial Services for Mary V. Hunter, 92, of Carlisle will be held at 3 PM Friday, February 1st at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 South Hanover Street, Carlisle.

She passed Wednesday, January 23, at Forest Park Healthcare & Rehabilitation where she received loving care during her long illness.  Born September 4, 1926 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Viola Adams.

She was educated in the Harrisburg School District, was a member of Trinity Church of God in Harrisburg and attended Grace Baptist Church in Carlisle. She was a member of Golden Girls Club; enjoyed spending time with her family, collecting antiques, writing poetry, reading her Bible daily, compiling memory albums, loved to crochet and knit creations made for family, friends and others in need.

Surviving a brother, George Adams-Harrisburg; sons: John Smith-Carlisle and Michael Hunter (Louise)-Harrisburg; daughters: Constance Hughes (Edward)-Harrisburg; Rhona Rice-Harrisburg; stepdaughter: Juanita Pless (Will)-Carlisle; adopted daughters:  Nicole Jones-Carlisle and Stacie Nickel-Gardners; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: George Hunter, Sr; sons: George Hunter, Jr. and David Hunter; brothers:  Wilbur Adams, Albert Adams, Jr., Marlon Larry Adams, Charles Adams; sisters: Sadie Atwell and Edith Akins; son-in-law: George Rice, Jr. and grandson:  Eric Smith.
