Mary Jane Horn, 86, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023, at her home.  She was born on March 26, 1937, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late George Chester Sheaffer and Martha A. (Wagner) Sheaffer and the widow of Paul D. Horn, who passed January 23, 2001.

Mary Jane graduated from Carlisle High School in 1955.  She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed reading and taking care of her home and family.  She attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by four children, Stephanie A. (husband Steven) Blain of Carlisle, Stephen P. (wife Lori) Horn of Carlisle, David P. (wife Libby) Horn of Amarillo, TX and Michael P. (wife Jodi) Horn of Dillsburg, one sister Christina Fadness of Tarpon, FL, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother Ronald Sheaffer and one sister Jean Yohn.

A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S.
