Martha J. Unger, 86, formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at The Gardens at Camp Hill.  She was born on February 8, 1939, in McConnellsburg and was a daughter of the late Rush Kerlin, Sr. and Arrie (Seiders) Kerlin.

Martha retired from The Home Depot in Mechanicsburg after many years of service as a cashier.  She formerly worked at Capital Products.  Martha was a member of the former Allison United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Mullet and Shelby Bacz, both of Carlisle, one son Alan Unger of Vietnam, two brothers, Rush Kerlin, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Clarence Kerlin of McConnellsburg, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Kerlin and Donald Kerlin and two sisters, Gladys Mack and Helen Boyer.

A visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, followed by a celebration of life service at 5:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Chaplain Ed Kerlin officiating.  The burial will be private.  www.EwingBrothers.com
