Martha E. Orris, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle. She was born on July 17, 1926 in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Howard J. and Elnora R. (Gitt) Keck and was the widow of Richard L. Orris, who passed away on July 25, 2016.

Martha had worked at Carlisle Container, the former Minerva Yarn Mill in Carlisle and also did house cleaning for several Carlisle families. Martha enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.

She is survived by one brother, Holbert Keck of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters; Helen Wilson, Violet Nailor, Alice Lebo and Annie Richwine and three brothers; Grant, Paul and Oren Keck.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the Westminster Cemetery, 1159 Newville Rd, Carlisle followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God Home, 801 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Chaplain Bradley V. Moore officiating. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
