Marlin L. Ewing, Sr., 75, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at his home.  He was born on January 1, 1946, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Lester and Mildred (Enck) Ewing.

Marlin retired after more than 40 years of service with Eichelbergers Inc. in Mechanicsburg.  He attended Faith Chapel, Carlisle and served in the Army National Guard of PA from 1964 to 1966.  Marlin loved fixing and tinkering with anything that needed repairs.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Gladys I. (Monismith) Ewing, one son Marlin L. Ewing, Jr. of Lothian, MD, one daughter Kimberly A. Wright of Jersey City, NJ, four sisters, Mary Hoon and Shirley Bretz both of Carlisle, Pauline Mentzer of Mechanicsburg and Silvia Troutman of Hummelstown, two brothers Floyd Ewing of Churchtown and Dale Ewing of Gardners and many nieces and nephews.  Marlin was preceded in death by two sisters.

Graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Highway, Carlisle with Pastor Michael Mayer as the officiant.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel, 1453 Holly Pike, Carlisle, PA 17015.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
