Mario (Bob) Bartoli passed away quietly at home surrounded by family. Mario was the oldest son of Mario and Catherine Giancoli Bartoli who preceded him in death.  He is survived by several sisters and one brother: Maria A. Bartoli, Adrianne Bartoli McSherry, James Bartoli, Carla Bartoli Arnold, and Angela Bartoli. Bob was preceded in death by 3 sisters Nancy Bartoli Hays, Maria Louisa Bartoli, and Sandra Bartoli Arnoldi. He is survived by 23 nephews and nieces ( he was their Uncle Bobby) and was preceded in death by a nephew Michael Hays. Bob was also a great uncle to 27 nephews and nieces.

Bob graduated from Carlisle High School in 1954 and from Dickinson College in 1958. He was a member of the Dickinson College Sports Hall of Fame for Cross-Country and Track and Field. He was also on the wrestling team and ROTC. Upon graduation, Bob entered the US Army as a second lieutenant and later joined the Army National Guard and served for 14 years and retired as a captain.

Bob was employed as an electrical engineer at Hill Electronics in Mechanicsburg and McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs. Following retirement, he worked at the YMCA in maintenance for several years and after quitting, he volunteered at the Y.

Bob was a life-long member of St. Patrick's Church having served as an usher at the 8 AM mass for over 50 years. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Dickinson. He was also a member of the Elks Club and the Carlisle Flying Club as a licensed pilot.

Bob was the family and neighborhood "Mr. Fixit" always on-call to help. He is sorely missed.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle, with Father Dozie officiating.  A fellowship luncheon will follow the service in the Parish Activity Center at the church.  Private burial will follow the luncheon at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, North Middleton Twp.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle YMCA or to St. Patrick Catholic School.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
