Margaret T. Shearer, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at her home.  She was born on January 15, 1937, in Everett, PA and was a daughter of the late Ralph M. Trail and Lelia Chrystel (O'Neal) Trail.

Margaret graduated from Everett High School and earned a Bachelors' degree from Shippensburg University.  She was employed with the Carlisle School District where she taught business English for 6 years, she then was employed in the Bookstore at Dickinson School of Law. Margaret was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband 66 years Ronald Max Shearer, one daughter Johnna J. (husband Richard M. Jr.) Kopecky of Lebanon, one son Michael M. (wife Sherry L. Orlowsky) Shearer of Fuquay Varina, NC, five grandchildren, Amy N. Kopecky, Ricky M. Kopecky, III, Forrest T. Deily, Bailey M. Shearer and Connor M. Shearer and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and John Trail and one sister Betty Wise.
