Margaret M. Purvinis, 100, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.  She was born on February 21, 1922, in Frackville, and was the daughter of the late John Krushana and Mary (Beuskie) Krushana.  Margaret was the widow of Sergeant First Class (Ret) Thomas S. Purvinis, US Army, who died on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

Margaret enjoyed the simple life, going on fishing & camping trips, and gardening on the farm with Tom. She loved spending time with family and being in her home.

She is survived by one daughter Josita Estell and was the "best grandmother" to two granddaughters, Michele Harding and Lisa Laycock, three great-grandchildren, Amanda Domm, Jarrett Domm and Matthew Michael, close niece Grace Kishalonis, as well as, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with Rev. Don Bender officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
