IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret M.
Kelliher
August 26, 1938 – April 22, 2024
In Loving Memory of Margaret (Feeley) Kelliher
Margo, a cherished 85 ½ year old mom, grandmom, and great-grandmom bid farewell to her world on April 22, 2024 at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle, Pa. She left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration. With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mom whose presence illuminated the lives she was lovingly bound to.
Born to Edward and Agnes Feeley from Worcester, Mass, on August 26, 1938, she entered into a large Irish family that taught her how to create strong bonds with family through love, compassion, and support of each other. She is survived by only one of her siblings, John Feeley (Cathy) of San Antonio, Texas.
In turn, she took what she had learned and with her husband William (Bill) Kelliher (November 22, 1999) built a family and raised them in Clifton Park, New York. They established a business of Margill, Gingiss Formal Wear. Their door was always open to host family, friends, and Emery Pudd golf weekends with music and fun; nobody was a stranger.
She had remarkable talents in the areas of painting, gardening, crocheting, redecorating, singing and graciously shared those talents with all of her children. It was her life-long joy to spend her time with her family, whether in a game of mucca (dice game), fascination, cribbage, and/or scratch offs. For every visit she would have the cold cuts ready and the beer on ice. She loved to travel, but regrets she didn't make it to Nantasket Beach, Massachusetts.
Those who knew Margo could always find her talking about how proud she was of her children and their accomplishments. Margo is survived by her son, James Kelliher (Eileen) of Clifton Park, NY; daughter, Patricia Kennedy of Schenectady, NY; daughter, Ann Gerras (Steve) of Carlisle, Pa; son, Kevin Kelliher (Maureen) of State College, Pa, and daughter, Kristine Kelliher (Rob) of South Glastonbury, CT, and grandchildren, Thomas, Spencer (Jess), Joshua, Zach, Will, Meagan, Liam, Jack, and Finn, and great-grandchild, Cayden with another expected in May. All will continue to carry forth Margo's legacy with love and laughter. Though Margo is no longer sitting at the card table, her spirit will "apsitively-posolutely" guide us, reminding us to be good, be ourselves, and be genuine.
May Margo's soul find eternal peace and may your memories of her create the means for your eyes to shine like the diamonds and welcome family and friends to our house. Margo, you and your quick wit will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Margo's life will be held at the convenience of the family in New York. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, jdrf.org.
