Margaret Ann (Vonderheyde) Grundig, 84, died Friday, September 19, 2014 in Wendell, NC. Mrs. Grundig was born in St. Louis, MO. She was raised in Germany and returned to the U. S. after WW II. She enjoyed baking, tending her flower gardens, and collecting plates and D56 houses. Margaret was always strong and stoic with love in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolf K. W. Grundig.

She is survived by her daughter Gail Zechman (Gregory) of Wendell, NC; son, Glenn Grundig of Limerick, PA; grandsons, Grant, Graham, Garrett, and Gavin Zechman.

Funeral service at 3 pm on Monday at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, NC, with visitation from 1:30 to 3 pm prior to the service. A viewing will be held from 9:30to 10:30 am on Thursday at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. A committal service willfollowat 11:30 am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
