Magda retired as Vice-President of Data Processing with the former National Bank of Washington in Washington D.C. after 31 years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Lanyi of Carlisle.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Shrine Church, 152 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, with Rev. William C. Forrey officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Patrick's New Catholic Cemetery, North Middleton Twp. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
