Madella Mae Schlusser Keeseman, 84, of Newville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side.  She was born on June 15, 1938, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Donald and Hazel (Mountz) Schlusser.

Madella attended Big Spring High School.  She was a loving and devoted homemaker and worked at Roadway in New Kingston as a waitress and at Kinney Shoe in Carlisle for many years.  Madella also worked at the Carlisle Hospital in the linen room for many years and at the Pharo's Truck stop in Shippensburg for 5 years.  She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family and her great-grandsons were her pride and joy.  Madella attended Midway Pentecostal Church in Carlisle.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Mark Keeseman, one daughter Cindy McDonald (fiancé, Dale Richmond) of Carlisle, two sons, Raymond Hogue (fiancé, Diane Finkey) of Newville and Clifford Keeseman (fiancé, Jessica Clamp) of Orlando, FL, eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, four sisters, Arlene Graver of Carlisle, Bonnie Miller of Carlisle, Donna Yarlett of Carlisle and Shirley Kiser of Holly Hill, FL and three brothers, George Schlusser of Carlisle, Jerry Schlusser of Carlisle and John Schlusser of Landisburg. Along with her parents, Madella was preceded in death by one son Scott, three brothers, Howard "Billy", Dale and Terry and two great grandchildren, Jayden, and Paityn.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Mark Sweeney officiating.  Interment will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.  Visit www.Since1853.com to send condolences.
