Obituary
She was a member of Carlisle High School class of 1934, and a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Lydia was very active in her church over the years, having attended there since 1940. She was a member of the Everfaithful (formerly the We Help Others) Sunday School class. She was very active with the United Methodist Women at the local and district level. She was a former Sunday School teacher and was formerly active with Church Women United and the Carlisle Area Religious Council. She attended weekly devotions and classes with the Protestant Women of the Chapel, Carlisle Barracks for many years. Lydia was a member of the Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans, with both her grandfathers having served in the Civil War.
