Lona F. Head, 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Cumberland Crossings. Lona was born on March 23, 1938, in Oil City, LA and was a daughter of the late D.C. Hunt and Martha (Jobe) Hunt. She was the widow of Master Chief Petty Officer (Ret) Glen Head, he passed on May 3, 1999.

Lona graduated from Ogden High School in Ogden, UT, with the class of 1955. Lona was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in raising her children. She found joy in volunteering at the YWCA, where she generously supported the office staff.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, SSG (Ret.) D. Glen Head(Crissy); her daughters, Adonna Shank(Greg) and Lora Foltz; her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Richard Hunt. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Larson and Fern Caldwell, and her brothers, Frank Hunt and David Hunt.

Following Lona’s wishes, the services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
