Linda M. Shearer, 80, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at home.  She was born on August 31, 1943, in Gettysburg and was a daughter of the late Robert E. Weidner and Esther V. (Smith) Weidner.

Linda worked for many years as a nursing assistant in both nursing homes and private care, later she was the manager of the Quality Cleaning Company.   Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spending time outdoors, taking care of her chickens, traveling, dancing, and listening to Elvis.

She is survived by three sons, Randy (Candas) Negley Sr. of Boiling Springs, Danny (Jane) Negley of Loysville, and Ronald Caufman Jr. of Boiling Springs, two daughters, Penny (Gary) Deates of Newville, and Robin Varner of New Bloomfield, ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Negley and one daughter, Kandi Caufman.

A visitation will start at 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Sophia A.
