Linda L. (Boyd) Frankenberry, 78, of Carlisle, beloved wife of Rev. Walter Frankenberry, went to heaven Wednesday, May 15, 2019.  She was born in Lima, Ohio on February 3, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Mary D. (Arnold) Boyd and Russell G. Boyd.

Following graduation from Lafayette-Jackson High School, she attended Crown College in St. Paul, MN where she and Walter met. They were married June 16, 1962 and after Walter's graduation she became a minister's wife and together they served churches in Minnesota, Missouri, Montana and Pennsylvania.

Linda's devotion was first to her Lord and Savior; then to her family. She loved people of all ages; working with children and youth, teaching women's Bible classes, mentoring younger women, directing musical programs, sharing her faith, being a first-class hostess in the ministry of hospitality...all of this, and more, while facing numerous serious physical challenges most of her life.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, her sons; Todd of Connecticut and Robert of Texas, one sister, Joann Linninger of Indiana and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Don of Ohio.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for their "second-to-none" consistent, compassionate care given to both Linda and Walter for 16 months.

The service will be at the Carlisle First Church of God, 705 Glendale Street, Carlisle, PA on Saturday, May 25, 2019 with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.
