Lester R. Sipe Sr., 93, of Newville, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Cumberland Crossings in Carlisle. He was born on October 31, 1932, in Carlisle, to the late William and Emma (Schraw) Sipe. He was married to his wife Nancy (Clouser) Sipe for the last 27 years.

Lester was a machine operator at the Frog, Switch & Manufacturing Co. for 21 years.

He is survived by his son Terry L. Sipe, three daughters, Paula M. Sipe, Jolene Sipe, and Cathy Austin, one brother Paul L. Sipe, eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Lester Sipe Jr., two brothers, William Sipe and Edward Sipe. and three sisters, Viola Ann Negley, Erma Rodriguez, and Evelyn Burgard

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Opossum Hill Union Church Cemetery.
