Raudabaugh
July 8, 1934 – November 11, 2024
Leo J. Raudabaugh, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 8, 1934, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Ray and Pearl (Hair) Raudabaugh. Leo was married to the late Arlene F. Raudabaugh who passed away on February 1, 2016.
Leo graduated from Boiling Springs High School with the class of 1953. He served honorably in the U. S. Army from 1960 to 1962. Leo worked as a farmer from a very young age with the Wenger farm and throughout his life he always had a passion for farming even in his older years when he finished his farming days with the Stover farm. He was employed with PPG for ten years, owned and operated an appliance store in Mt. Holly Springs, he drove for 15 years as an independent big-rig truck driver mainly through Daily Express in Carlisle and finally worked 10 years for Daily driving and delivering big crane trucks across the United States manufactured by Grove Cranes. Leo assisted in hauling a part of the Berlin Wall in the United States and was given a small piece in appreciation for his service.
He is survived by one daughter, Debra A. (Bob) Marchese of Carlisle, one son, Leo D. "Jake" (Nikki) Raudabaugh of Boiling Springs, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Leo was predeceased by one daughter, Denise M. Raudabaugh, who died in 1997, two brothers, Wayne and Vance Raudabaugh, one sister Erma Hollingsworth and one great-granddaughter Mya Weiss.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in The Meeting House, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd, Carlisle, with Pastor Richard Reese and James Kreiser officiating. The burial will follow in the Springville Cemetery, Boiling Springs. A viewing will be held at The Meeting House on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made in Leo's name to a charity of your choice. Condolences to the family may be left at www.EwingBrothers.com.
