Leo L. Lay, 87, of Shippensburg and a former longtime farmer in the Carlisle area, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on May 24, 1927 in Carlisle and was a son of the late Oren D. and Ethel J. (Myers) Lay.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Delores Mauk of Shippensburg and several nieces and nephews. Leo was predeceased by one daughter, Rose Marie Lay, who died in 1974 and one sister, Jeanette Jones.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Interment will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. www.Since1853.com.
