Lee A. Hoover, Jr., 63, of Carlisle, passed to eternal life on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. He was born March 25, 1950, in Carlisle, and was a son of the late Lee A. Hoover, Sr. and Esther Mae (Jones) Hoover.

Lee was a lifelong agricultural and dairy farmer in the Carlisle area and enjoyed being a part of the family farm. He was a 1969 graduate of Carlisle High School, a longtime member of Calvary Temple Holiness Church, Carlisle, PA Farm Bureau and formerly worked part-time at the Carlisle Livestock Market. Lee's kindness and generosity will be missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Linda D. (Wickard) Hoover, three sons, Larry L. (wife, Rebecca) Hoover of Landisville, Loren D. (wife, Shirley) and Lynn J. (wife, Leah) Hoover, both of Carlisle, one daughter, Linnea D. (husband, Kenneth) Charles of Boiling Springs, two brothers; Garry E. Hoover and Donald R. Hoover, Sr., both of Carlisle, 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lee was predeceased by brother, Robert W. Hoover.

Arrangements are being handled by Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 25, 2013. Funeral service will be at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 26, 2013, with Pastor Ray Buhrow. Interment will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
