Lawrence A. “Larry” Barone, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at UPMC Carlisle. He was born on December 24, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank and Anna (Baldassarri) Barone. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Vivian F. (Bozzo) Barone.

Lawrence graduated from New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, NY. He was a dress maker and worked in the garment industry for many years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carlisle. Larry was an avid fan of Dickinson College football.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Larry Barone of Carlisle, two daughters, Laurie (her husband Andrew) Schaefer of Sag Harbor, NY, Erica (her husband David) Henson of Carlisle, and nine grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Josephine Franza.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home 630 S. Hanover St. Carlisle. Father Chiedozie F. Ononuju will officiate. A viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Carlisle. www.EwingBrothers.com
