Laura E. Myers, 92, of Carlisle, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, August 29, 2010, in her home. She was born on Thursday, June 13, 1918, in Silver Spring Twp., a daughter of the late Keller H. and Jennie M. (Dout) Warner and the widow of Earl W. Myers, who died Nov. 20, 1983.

Laura was a life long farmer in Middlesex Twp. and attended the former old Farmer's Market on the square in Carlisle. She loved her family and animals.

She is survived by two daughters; Mary A. (and her husband, Don) Jayne and Ethel M. (and her husband, Dick) Murtoff both of Carlisle, six grandchildren; Richard Jayne, Jerry Jayne, Lynn Jumper, Bonnie Wilbert, Gary Murtoff and Debbie McGowan, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Sheaffer and a brother, Keller Warner, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Jacob A Waybright officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be held on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of the services.
