Kelly Eugene Mills, 57, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Mechanicsburg, PA, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 29, 1968, in Harrisburg, PA, Kelly grew up rooted in a close‑knit family and community that shaped his steady, grounded presence throughout life.

Kelly lived with a bold, adventurous spirit, never afraid to experience life fully, create memories, and embrace moments of joy wherever he went. He dedicated many years of service to several jobs, including Excel Logistics and Tire & Wheel. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and the way others naturally trusted him as a right-hand and confidant. Thorough in all he did, he approached life with loyalty and care. Above all, he was a good man, whose greatest joy was his children, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally.

Kelly found joy in the simple pleasures that made life feel full: he found joy in moments of laughter and fellowship, cooking, often enjoyed over a shared beverage, driving slowly with the windows down while listening to his favorite music, and sharing laughs with the people he loved. He was at his happiest surrounded by friends and family, talking, joking, catching up, and enjoying good company. Socializing wasn't just something he did; it was how he stayed connected, how he showed love, and how he made everyone around him feel welcome. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he rarely missed a game, cheering with the same loyalty he carried into every part of his life.

Kelly was a proud and devoted father to his children: Delicia Mills, Shaleia Mills, LeQuan Mills, Oveanah Mills, Shadae Mills, and LaDarius Mills. Kelly's "Papi" legacy lives on through his beloved grandchildren; Indie, Kahseem, Kamiyah, and SyAire who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

He is also survived by his mother, Brenda Mills; his siblings, Dorita (James Hurdle) Payne, Mikal Mills, and Aqueelah (Eric) Clarke; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Kelly was preceded in death by his father, Michael Norman Johnson.

Kelly Eugene Mills will be remembered for his bold spirit, his warmth, his love of family, and the unforgettable presence he brought into every room. His family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate the quiet but powerful legacy he leaves behind. A devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Kelly carried a warmth that made every room feel lighter. His loyalty, humor, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of a traditional funeral service, the family will host a Celebration of Life on February 28, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 PM at the American Legion Ball‑Correal Post 101, 142 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
