Obituary

Kay E. Fenton, 76, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at home with family be her side.  She was born on December 28, 1942 in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Charles T. Coyle and Rosalie (Swartz) McLaughlin.

Kay graduated in 1961 from Carlisle High School and worked at the former Robbins Flowers in Carlisle.  She retired from the Miller Bus Co. after 30 years of service as a school bus driver to the Cumberland Valley School District.  Kay was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in New Kingstown.  Kay enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, camping, baking, going to the beach and making moon (sugar) cookies that were enjoyed by all.

She is survived her husband of nearly 58 years, Robert E. Fenton, one son, Douglas E. Fenton of Plainfield, four daughters; Lucinda K. Fenton, Rebecca L. Fenton, Lori L. (husband, Justin) Carpenter and Amy M. Fenton, all of Carlisle, two brothers; Steve Coyle of Camp Hill and Danny Coyle of Carlisle, two sisters; LynnAnn Diehl of Shiremanstown and Colleen Faust of Harrisburg, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Kay was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Fenton and one daughter-in-law, Karen Fenton who passed away in 2018.

Services to celebrate Kay's life will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2019 in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 4 W. Main St., P. O. Box 26, New Kingstown, PA 17072 with Rev. Eric L. Funk officiating.  A time of visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church and immediately following the services in the church's fellowship hall.  Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to her church.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
