Karen R. Haynes, 69, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at her home. She was born on November 8, 1945 in Carlisle, a daughter of E. Catherine (Mixell) Ream Lebo of Carlisle and the late Jonathan W. Ream.

Karen graduated from Carlisle Area High School, class of 1963. She was employed by the Carlisle Area School District as a bus driver. In addition, she spent many years singing choir at St. John's Lutheran Church. Karen was also very well known for her lifelong career as a Tupperware representative and manager.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harvey L. Haynes, three daughters; Michelle Malloy of Carlisle, Kristina Mallin of Newport and Kelly Haynes of Bloomsburg, three sons; Michael Haynes, Matthew Haynes, and Kory L. Haynes, all of Carlisle, 1 sister, 2 brothers, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Great Hope Baptist Church, 110 Fern Ave., Carlisle, PA 17013. Pastor Dale Barrick will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Flowers are welcome to be sent to the church or memorial donations may be made Kristina Mallin, 2682 Little Buffalo Rd., Newport, PA 17074. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
