Julie was a Carlisle High School graduate and had worked more than 20 years with Carlisle Syn Tec, Inc., where she was a lab technician. She was a member of Carlisle Church of God. Julie enjoyed reading, going to the beach and her three Chinese Shar Pei canine companions.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Roger E. Failor, one son, Michael Phillips, one daughter, April Phillips, one grandson, Calvin LaCroix, one granddaughter, Ivy Sheaffer, two sisters; Peggy Zinn and Lydia Mellott, all of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews. Julie was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy L. Reisinger.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Robert F. Myers, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
