Judy K. Witherow, 69, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. She was born on April 9, 1946 in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Lester and Tressie (Dillman) Otto.

Judy was a 1966 graduate of Carlisle High School. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed needlework and looking after her grandchildren. Judy is a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of the former First United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Judy was a choir member at both churches.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, Elmer R. Witherow, Jr., two sons; John R. (wife, Tracy) Witherow and Lester P. (wife, Robin) Witherow, both of Carlisle, five grandchildren; Ashley, Brandon, Rhiannon, Connor and Caden Witherow, her aunt, Freda Dillman, her father-in-law, Elmer R. Witherow, Sr., one brother-in-law, Ronald D. Witherow and several nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by one sister, Carrie Shank.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 South Hanover St, Carlisle, with Rev. Mira A. Hewlett officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial gifts in Judy's name may be made to her church at 45 S. West St, Carlisle.
