Judy L.
Minnich
November 2, 1943 – May 2, 2026
Judy Louise Minnich, 82 of Carlisle, Pa passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Home. Judy was born November 2, 1943, in Rome, New York and was the daughter of Virginia (Johnson) Rupp. Judy was raised by her Grandfather Edward Green and Grandmother Virginia (Ginny) Green. Judy was also the widow of Levi F. Minnich, who passed away on December 27, 2016.
Judy is survived by her two sons, Spencer Lee Clark (wife Karen) and James Bryant Clark (wife Penny Dee), both of Carlisle Pennsylvania. 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Earl Martain Clark Jr. (JR)! Per Judy’s wishes, services will be private.
Judy was many things to many people. Judy was a Mother, Daughter, Grand Daughter, Wife, Sister, Provider, Housewife, Head of Household, Care Giver, and Patriot! Judy worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Panama City, Florida Hospital and Carlise, Pennsylvania Hospital. Judy then served as the Supply Tech in the Carlisle Hospital Operating room.
Judy had many likes and interests. First and foremost, Judy loved animals. Judy had pets ranging from a racoon, a deer, dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and pigs. Judy could hunt (long rifles and archery), fish (fresh water and deep sea). Judy loved dogs so much that she loved training her Golden Retrievers to be excellent Bird Dogs! Judy could also cook/bake like no other because of the skills Ginny taught her! Judy’s fudge and Snicker Doodles are known throughout the world and U.S. Army. Slippery Pot Pie, Chicken Corn Soup, Fried Chicken, Southern Sweet Tea, and Crab Cakes were renowned!
Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Judy made sure her boys could cook, fish, and hunt. Judy made sure the tools were provided to her boys so they could survive in any austere environment.
Hebrews 6:10 “God does not forget the work and love shown to others.”
As a caregiver Judy always put others first. Pulling a 72-hour shift at Panama City Hospital during Hurricane Eloise (September 1975) because patients that could not be moved could still be given world class care. Taking care of her sons during illness and providing long term care to an elderly aunt.
John 14:6 “Jesus declared, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Last, if Judy could say one last thing. Judy would want to thank the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Home staff who provided loving care for the past 6 years as she battled Dementia and a shout out to the UPMC Emergency Room Staff who provided her with loving care during her visit on 30 April 2026.
We love you Mom and we thank God you have Peace and all your beautiful Memories have returned!
