Joy Arlene Ott, 79, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at her home.  She was born on August 10, 1939 in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late John J. George, Sr. and Mildred G. (Barkley) George.  Joy was the widow of Frank L. "Blue Eyes" Ott, who died April 15, 2005.

Joy was a 1958 graduate of Carlisle High School and retired from the Naval Inventory Control Point in Mechanicsburg after many years of service.  She was a member of McClure's Gap Church of God, Newville.

She is survived by one brother, John J. (wife, Bonnie) George, Jr. of Columbus, OH, two sisters; Shelby George of Carlisle and Judy (husband, Gary) Nace of Landisburg and several nieces and nephews.  Joy was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly B. Griest, who died May 12, 2016.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S.
