Joice F. Remy, 89, of Carlisle passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2024, at Thornwald Home.  She was born on September 8th, 1935, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

She is survived by her son Paul R. Remy (wife Deborah) of Boiling Springs, her two grandchildren, Paul of Washington DC and Sarah of Pittsburgh.

During her life Joice lived on 3 continents and spoke 3 languages.  At the young age of 25, Joice and her husband (Nico) and five-year-old son Paul moved from The Netherlands to America and settled in Carlisle, where she worked at several Crystal companies as well as working part- time at Sears from which she eventually retired.

She doted on her grandkids, loved cooking and favorite pastime was going out dancing.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev.
