John H. Rasmussen, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the Lebanon V. A. Hospice Center.  He was born on March 2, 1935, in Carlisle and was a son of the late William and Alta (Shearer) Rasmussen.  He was married to the late Christine (Ryals) Rasmussen who passed away on May 19, 2023.

John earned his GED from Carlisle High School and was with the class of 1953.  He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1963.  John was an automobile mechanic for many years.

He is survived by one son John H. Rasmussen II, two daughters Mindy Rasmussen and Cynthia G. Griggs, his twin brother Thomas Rasmussen, many grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two daughters, Christine Diane Dynarski and Judy Rasmussen and six brothers, William, Robert, Herbert, James, Henry and Earl Rasmussen.
