John Frederick Kluge, Jr., 98, of Lynchburg, VA and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Lynchburg.  He was born on July 30, 1921 in Shippensburg and was a son of the late John and Evalyn (Wingler) Kluge and was married to the late Mary C. (Cromer) Kluge who passed away on October 26, 2018.

John was retired from General Electric Corporation and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Lyn Dan Heights Ruitan Club.

Survivors include three daughters; Martha B. Harry, Yvonne K. Ernst, and Christina K Richards and her husband Dennis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cara Shaw.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle followed by graveside services at 11:30 a.m. in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Highway, Carlisle, PA 17013.  www.Since1853.com.
