Joey L. Orner, 68, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Claremont Nursing Center, Carlisle.  He was born on November 1, 1957, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Harold R. Orner and Alma J. (Rice) Orner.

Joey graduated from Big Spring High School in 1976.  He worked for several years at the Carlisle Hospital.  He enjoyed fishing, playing the trumpet and loved animals.

He is survived by three brothers, Chester (Kathy) Orner of Las Vegas, NV, James (Wendy) Orner of Shippensburg and John (Beth) Orner of Mechanicsburg, one sister Mary Ann Danner of Shippensburg and several nieces and nephews.
