Joanne N. Kell, 73, of Waynesburg, PA and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at We Care (Rolling Meadows) in Waynesburg.  She was born on October 22, 1950, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late George L. Kell and Mildred A. (Gallagher) Kell.

Joanne graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1970.  She worked for the former Kinney Shoe and Bedford Shoe manufacturing companies in Carlisle.

She is survived by two sisters, Joyce K. (and her husband, J. Robert "Bob") Simpson of Waynesburg and Julie R. (and her husband, Mike) Sweat of Cornelia, GA, one niece Rebecca Simpson and her companion Jon Sokol, two nephews, Robert Simpson and his fiancé Katlyn Elliott and Austin Sweat and his companion Deanna Mitchell and their children, Nikoli Mitchell and Wyatt Sweat.  She was preceded in death by one brother John G. Kell who died August 24, 2011.
