Jean D. Gribble, 76, of Carlisle, beloved wife of Glenn, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at UPMC Harrisburg.  She was born on September 7, 1947, in Norfolk, VA and was a daughter of the late John Henry Funkhouser and Dora Mae (Twiford) Byers.

Jean earned her G.E.D. for Norview High School in Norfolk, VA.  She was a loving homemaker.  Jean attended Faith Chapel and Northside Baptist Church, both of Carlisle.  Jean enjoyed quilting and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her husband Glenn L. Gribble, four children, Terry Lee Reigel of Virginia Beach, VA, Stephanie (Jamie) Korbish of Boiling Springs, Glenn L. (Shelly) Gribble, Jr. of Keller, TX, and Wendy L. (Don) Evans of Burleson, TX, one brother John R. Funkhouser of Pound, WI, one sister Linda Kay Seamster of Norfolk, VA, three grandchildren, Sarah and Hannah Krouse and Colt Dellinger, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Funkhouser.

A viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the Faith Chapel, 1453 Holly Pike, Carlisle, PA 17015 with Pastors Michael Mayer, and Douglas Farrow officiating.  A fellowship meal will be held at the church following the service.  The burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel or Northside Baptist Church, 400 Cornman Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
